The Iowa volleyball team fell to No. 5 Wisconsin 3-0 Wednesday in Madison, Wis. The Badgers won 25-15, 25-22, 25-19.

The Hawkeyes fell to 9-11 overall and 1-8 in the Big Ten, while Wisconsin is 17-2 and 8-1.

Jess Janota had 10 kills for Iowa, Alessandra Dietz and Lauren Brobst each had nine kills, Kaylee Smith had 18 assists, Alyssa Klostermann had 17 assist, and Michelle Fugarino had 16 digs.

• WOMEN’S GOLF: The Hawkeyes finished eighth with 903 strokes at the Old Waverly Bulldog Invitational in Starkville, Miss.

Mississippi State won with 858.

Freshman Elisa Suarez tied for fifth place with a three-round 217 (+1), posting rounds of 72, 71 and 74 to lead Iowa.

“I played calm throughout the entire tournament, maintaining a steady mindset. I really liked this golf course,” she said. “The team finished well today and I thought everyone showed great composure all the way to the end.”
