Guard Christian Williams is the fifth member of the Iowa basketball program's recruiting class of 2015.

The product of Decatur, Ill., announced his intentions Monday on Twitter: "Blessed to finally say that I have officially committed to the University of Iowa."

Williams is listed by Rivals.com as a 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard and gets a three-star rating. The website listed no other power-conference offers, with the likes of Bradley, Illinois-Chicago, Illinois State and Northern Illinois among his offers.

Williams led St. Teresa to the Illinois Class 2A championship game, where it lost Saturday night in Peoria. Williams scored 15 points on 6-of-17 shooting in a 53-47 loss to Chicago Uplift.

Williams' commitment leaves Iowa coach Fran McCaffery with one scholarship in his pocket for the Class of 2015. Four incoming freshmen have already signed with the Hawkeyes: 6-4 shooting guard Andrew Fleming of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; 6-5 small forward Isaiah Moss of Chicago; 6-6 small forward Brandon Hutton of Chicago; and 6-7 power forward Ahmad Wagner of Huber Heights, Ohio. All five players in this class are classified as three-star recruits by Rivals.

McCaffery has said he would target a big man with his remaining scholarships, with center Gabe Olaseni graduating this year and Adam Woodbury having only one more year of eligibility.
