In her final trip to her home state earlier this month, Samantha Logic dropped Wisconsin with a career-high 30 points.

The senior from Racine landed one final blow to her home state Badgers on Thursday.

Logic finished an assist shy of a triple-double, helping Iowa (22-6, 13-4 Big Ten) snap a two-game losing skid with a 78-74 win over Wisconsin (8-19, 4-13) at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The win was Lisa Bluder's 300th at Iowa and clinched a share of second place in the Big Ten standings and a double bye in the Big Ten Tournament for the Hawkeyes.

Coach talks about milestone win.

"We want to win so bad right now that whatever it takes to get one that's what I'm going to do," Logic said.

Logic did just about everything on Thursday night.

She finished with 20 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as Iowa held off a late charge to remain perfect at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and match the school record for home wins in a season with 15.

It was Logic's third straight game with at least 20 points and her third double-double in her last four games.

"She is shooting the ball so well, going up and elevating so strongly in her jump shot, shooting the three-ball really well I think she has taken it to another level lately, I really do," Bluder said of Logic. "There are times when I still say, 'Oh wow,' with what she does."

In a career filled with big games against her home state team, Logic's final meeting with the Badgers was her finest.

Logic had 13 of her 20 points in the first half, giving Iowa a 35-33 halftime lead despite shooting 36 percent in the first half. Logic was 6-of-9 from the field while the rest of the Hawkeyes were a combined 7-of-29.

"I think I've been a little more aggressive to start games but teams have been taking away Melissa (Dixon) a lot so that gives a lot of lanes for me to attack," Logic said. "A couple of times early Whitney (Jennings) and Ally (Disterhoft) found me for rhythm threes and that helps get me going and get some confidence."

Lisa Bluder talks about win over Badgers.

After halftime, Logic helped Iowa overcome a 54-52 deficit by fueling a 15-0 Hawkeye run.

Logic had five points and three rebounds during the 15-0 spurt that gave Iowa a 65-54 lead it would never give up.

"I don't know if I've taken it to another level, I just really want our team to win," Logic said.

Bethany Doolittle started the run with a short jumper and Iowa held the Badgers scoreless for more than seven minutes during the run.

"Beth tied it up for us at 54 and from them on I thought our kids locked in," Bluder said. "I thought that we did a great job of taking care of the ball and rebounding through that stretch to give us that lead."

Iowa led 71-62 with under two minutes to play, but Wisconsin didn't go quietly.

The Badgers hit two 3-pointers and made 8-of-12 second-half 3-pointers but couldn't get closer than three points.

"They made some quick shots and I need to go back and watch it on film to watch those threes," Bluder said. "We came out of zone and we went all player and they still got some so it's definitely something that we need to work on closing out the game strong."

Doolittle finished with a game-high 22 points for Iowa while Ally Disterhoft added 17 points and eight rebounds.

Jacki Gulczynski led Wisconsin with 19 points and 11 rebounds.
