Seth Wallace will be the Iowa Hawkeyes' new linebackers coach.
The move was announced by Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz on Friday.
Wallace takes over the position from Jim Reid, who left the Hawkeyes to become the defensive coordinator at Boston College.
The past two seasons have seen Wallace fill the role of recruiting coordinator. He also served as a defensive assistant, working with cornerbacks and nickelbacks during Iowa's recent 12-2 campaign and working with the defensive line the season before.
"I am excited to coach our linebackers as we begin preparations for 2016 and beyond," Wallace said in a statement issued by the school. "We have a great group returning who have been well coached by Coach Reid. I am very appreciative for this opportunity and look forward to this next phase of my career."
