Report: Northern Iowa gives Jacobson new 10-year deal

ESPN college basketball reporter Jeff Goodman reported Tuesday evening that Northern Iowa coach Ben Jacobson has been given a new 10-year contract.

Early attempts for confirmation from Northern Iowa have been unsuccessful.

Jacobson had been working off a 10-year deal he signed in 2010.

In his ninth season as the UNI coach, Jacobson led the Panthers to one of their best seasons ever as they finished with a 31-4 record and reached the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
