The Iowa Western Community College Reivers volleyball team had an opportunity to win a national title, but fell short Saturday.

Miami Dade (Florida) swept IWCC in the championship match of the NJCAA Division I national volleyball tournament. The Reivers dropped the games 25-20, 25-13, 25-18. Iowa Western came into the match as the favorite, but was beat in part by Miami Dade's Massiel Matos and her game-leading 15 kills. No Reiver had more than eight kills in the match.
It was Miami Dade's (21-5) 10th straight victory. The loss ends Iowa Western's impressive season at 37-5.
