During batting practice Tuesday at the Minnesota Twins' indoor batting facility at Target Field, Iowa baseball's Kris Goodman found a wood bat owned by veteran outfielder and five-time all star, Torii Hunter.
Using the power of Twitter, the senior outfielder sent a tweet to Hunter saying how cool the bat was and asked if he could have it. To Goodman's surprise, the nine-time Gold Glove winner and two-time Silver Slugger let Goodman keep his professional maple-wood model.
Pretty sweet gift for Goodman and the Hawkeyes as they prepare to face Ohio State at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the first round of the conference tournament.
