Iowa gets shutout of its own against Ohio State

One day after getting shut out by Ohio State, Iowa returned the favor in a 12-0 win Saturday at Bill Davis Stadium in Columbus.

Tyler Peyton was the story in this one. The Iowa starter gave up just two hits in seven scoreless innings, striking out three and walking two.

At the plate, Peyton delivered a 3-for-5 performance and scored two runs.

Joel Booker went 3-for-4 for Iowa, drew a walk, had four RBI and scored two runs.

Mitchell Boe and Mason McCoy also recorded three-hit games.

Iowa sits at 22-22 overall and 8-9 in the Big Ten Conference. The series finale begins at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday.
