Schenck-Joblinske powers Iowa win against Michigan State

Tyler Peyton and Eric Schenck-Joblinske powered Iowa to a 3-1 win Saturday in Game 2 of the Hawkeyes’ series against Michigan State at Duane Banks Field in Iowa City.
Peyton got the start and win for Iowa, holding the Spartans scoreless over seven innings. He gave up three hits, struck out two and walked three.
At the plate, Schenck-Joblinske was responsible for all three of Iowa’s runs.
In the second inning, Schenck-Joblinske’s single drove home John Barrett. In the fourth inning, Schenck-Joblinske launched a two-run home run off the Spartans’ Joe Mockbee.
Iowa (23-24, 9-11 Big Ten) looks to take the series in Sunday’s senior day game. The Hawkeyes’ regular-season home finale starts at 1:05 p.m.
