Former Hawkeye Devyn Marble sharp in NBA preseason opener
Devyn Marble got off to a blistering start in Orlando's preseason opener Tuesday night.
The former all-Big Ten guard at Iowa hit his first four shots and scored 13 points for Orlando, including eight in overtime. The Magic beat Miami 108-101.
Marble was a second-round draft pick, the 56th selection overall. The Magic got his rights in a trade with Denver.
He shot 4-of-5 from the floor against the Heat, including three 3-pointers. He added two assists and one rebound in 13 minutes.
