Good lord, Iowa 2018 small forward commit Joe Wieskamp went off Tuesday night. The 6-foot-4 junior finished with 50 points and shot 16-for-21 (9-for-12 on 3s) in Muscatine's 84-44 win over Burlington.

So, yes, he outscored his opponent's entire roster. He also nabbed eight rebounds to go along with three steals and two assists.

Iowa basketball recruit Joe Wieskamp shows off his shooting form Sunday at tryouts for his AAU team in Mount Vernon. The Muscatine junior is back at full health after a summer spent battling mononucleosis and a sprained ankle.

His previous career high was 35; he shattered that. And he set the Muscatine records for career points (1,068) and points in a game.

Wieskamp scored 14 of Muscatine's first 19, and 24 of its 36 first-quarter points. Then he "slowed down" and only scored 26 in quarters two through four.

247sports pegs Wieskamp as a four-star recruit and ranks him as its 42nd-best 2018 prospect — No. 1 in Iowa. He verbally committed to the Hawkeyes last June.

He was averaging 28.3 points for the Muskies entering Tuesday. That number's going to go up a bit...
