Iowa guard Sam Logic named to multiple All-American teams

Iowa's Logic scoops up another postseason award

Iowa senior point guard Samantha Logic was named to the Associated Press and U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-American teams on Tuesday.

Logic was one of three Big Ten players named to the 10-woman USBWA team, joining Minnesota sophomore Amanda Zahui B. and Ohio State freshman Kelsey Mitchell.

Logic was a third-team AP All-American.

The 5-foot-9 Logic averaged 13.4 points, 8.1 assists and seven rebounds per game this season while leading Iowa to its first Sweet 16 appearance since 1996.

Connecticut's Breanna Stewart, Notre Dame's Jewell Loyd, South Carolina's Tiffany Mitchell, Baylor's Nina Davis and Zahui B were on the AP first team.

UConn teammates Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis and Moriah Jefferson were on the second team, along with Elizabeth Williams of Duke, Brittany Boyd of California and Ohio State freshman Kelsey Mitchell.

The third team features Lexie Brown of Maryland, Jillian Alleyne of Oregon, A'ja Wilson of South Carolina, Ruth Hamblin of Oregon State, Reshanda Gray of California and Logic.
