Hawkeye women to play 17 home games
Iowa went undefeated at home last season setting a school-record with an 18-0 mark at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The Hawkeyes will have plenty of chances to rely on the comforts of home in the 2015-16 season.
Iowa released its complete 2015-16 schedule Thursday, and will play 17 games at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
The 30-game slate opens with a home contest against North Dakota on Nov. 13 and features 12 nonconference games as well as an 18-game Big Ten schedule.
Iowa’s nonconference schedule includes three games at the Lone Star Showcase in Austin, Texas, on Nov. 26-28 and a trip to Virgina in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
The Hawkeyes will face Wright State, George Washington and Houston in consecutive days in Texas.
Iowa will then travel to Virginia on Dec. 2 before returning home to face Robert Morris on Dec. 6.
Following a Dec. 11 trip to Iowa State, the Hawkeyes will conclude the nonconference schedule with home games against Bradley on Dec. 19 and Drake on Dec. 22.
Iowa opens conference play Dec. 31 at Nebraska before hosting C. Vivian Stringer and Rutgers on Jan. 4.
Iowa will play five Big Ten opponents both home and away.
The Hawkeyes will face Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Purdue and Indiana twice during the upcoming season.
Iowa will host defending Big Ten champion Maryland on Jan. 10 and play home games against Rutgers, Ohio State and Illinois.
The Hawkeyes will travel to Nebraska, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Minnesota.
