Carly Mohns granted hardship waiver by Big Ten

Iowa's Carly Mohns was granted a hardship waiver by the Big Ten Conference, the school announced Thursday.

The 6-foot-1 forward from Brodhead, Wis., played just nine games in 2015-16 before being shut down due to a season-ending knee injury. The sophomore was averaging 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds in 13.8 minutes at the time of her injury and subsequent surgery.

Mohns will be a redshirt sophomore for the 2016-17 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
