So far, so good for the new-look Megan Gustafson. She said she worked on strength and footwork in the offseason, and the results have been golden.

She earned the Big Ten's first Player of the Week honor Tuesday. She's averaging 19.5 points and 11.5 rebounds through Iowa's first two games.

Iowa's Megan Gustafson looks for an open teammate during the Hawkeyes' game against Oral Roberts at Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016.

"We expected great things out of Megan," head coach Lisa Bluder said. "Certainly, she started the season that way. Are there ups and downs in every season? Yeah — it's a long season. I don't want to put pressure on her that she has to keep doing these kinds of things, but it would be nice if she would."

Iowa travels to play North Dakota (0-2) on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 99-91 against Drake on Nov. 11 and 90-80 last Sunday against Texas Tech.

Gustafson will face her toughest test yet this year in 6-foot-2 forward sophomore Lexi Klabo, who recorded a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double against the Red Raiders.
