Iowa promotes Jenni Fitzgerald to associate head coach
IOWA CITY, Ia. — Longtime Iowa assistant coach Jenni Fitzgerald has been promoted to associate head coach, the team announced Friday afternoon.
In her 17 years at Iowa, Fitzgerald has helped guide the Hawkeyes to 16 postseason appearances, including 10 straight. She handles off-campus recruiting and coaches perimeter players. She also oversees Iowa's scouting and summer basketball camps.
"I’m happy to have Jenni earn the title of associate head coach," head coach Lisa Bluder said in a press release. "She has been an unbelievable assistant coach. We’ve worked together for 25 years and she has been nothing but loyal, hard-working, and organized. She deserves this title change and I’m glad that we are able to accommodate it this year."
Iowa also announced that Abby Stamp had been promoted to director of player development, and that Kathryn Reynolds had been hired as the new director of operations. Stamp played for the Hawkeyes from 2005-08 and had spent the past eight seasons as director of operations. Reynolds played for the Hawkeyes from 2011-15.
