Iowa 2019 target D.J. Carton talks relationship with Iowa, Indiana visit and his maturation process throughout his recruitment. Matthew Bain/The Register
D.J. Carton's offseason is already picking up steam, and Iowa is right at the heart of it.
Iowa, Ohio State, Wisconsin and Marquette have in-home visits planned this month with Carton, Bettendorf coach Curtis Clark told the Register on Thursday. They're also setting an in-home visit with Indiana.
Marquette will visit April 8; Ohio State will visit April 16; and Iowa and Wisconsin will visit April 17.
Clark also said that Iowa, Virginia, Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin and Indiana had called about Carton on Wednesday, and that Michigan and Ohio State were visiting him at school on Thursday.
Carton, a four-star point guard from Bettendorf, is Iowa's top 2019 recruiting priority. He's a cerebral, 6-foot-2 lefty whose floor general skills are matched by his high-flying athleticism.
He dominated NY2LA's Swish N Dish event last weekend and Wisconsin, and a five-star rating is within reach if he continues to perform at a high level this offseason.
He currently holds offers from Iowa, Ohio State, Marquette, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Missouri, Illinois, Kansas State, Creighton, Minnesota and Nebraska, among others.
