The Iowa men's basketball team has recruited athletic, off-ball perimeter players for its 2020 class, and the Hawkeyes have just scheduled an official visit with a target who fits the bill.

Tony Perkins, a three-star shooting guard out of Lawrence North in Indianapolis, has set an official visit to Iowa for this upcoming weekend (Oct. 17-19). The Hawkeyes offered a scholarship to Perkins late last week and got the ball rolling quickly.

Lawrence North Wildcats guard Tony Perkins (12) celebrates the team's lead in the first half of sectional quarterfinals at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019. Lawrence North won, 65-59.

Perkins, who checks in at 6-foot-4, averaged 15.9 points per game for Lawrence North as a junior. He holds other offers from Bradley, Toledo, Ball State, Purdue-Fort Wayne and Morehead State. Iowa is his first high-major offer.

247Sports bumped Perkins from unrated to three stars after the Iowa offer.

Iowa hosted two other 2020 targets, Xavier Foster and Josh Ogundele, last weekend. It has landed one 2020 recruit so far in Chicago three-star point guard Ahron Ulis.
