Hawkeyes make cut for top Texas receiver
Iowa remains in the race for one of the top football recruits in Texas.
Rivals.com four-star receiver Camron Buckley revealed his top seven Friday on Twitter and the Hawkeyes made the cut, along with Mississippi, Miami of Florida, Arizona State, Auburn, Texas and Houston.
The Cedar Hill High School junior is ranked the No. 36 receiver nationally by Rivals.com and the No. 29 overall prospect in Texas. He checked in at No. 223 on the Rivals 250. Buckley has reported 18 major college scholarship offers.
The Hawkeyes currently have 10 known commitments for 2017. Iowa's class is ranked 12th nationally by Rivals.com.
