Iowa has landed its 11th recruit for the 2019 class.

Dearborn Fordson's Jafar Altalaqany (9) and Sulaimaan Shajrah (7) try to stop Belleville's Jalen Hunt (6) during Belleville's 35-7 win over Fordson on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at Fordson.

Jalen Hunt, a three-star defensive end out of Belleville, Michigan, committed to the Hawkeyes on Saturday during his official visit. He announced his decision via Twitter.

Hunt, who checks in at 6-foot-3 and 235 pounds, picked Iowa over Michigan State and Missouri, and he held additional offers from Minnesota, Iowa State, Boston College and Louisville, among others.

He plays at Belleville High, where he was teammates with Hawkeye freshman safety Kaevon Merriweather.

The 247Sports Composite gives Hunt three stars and ranks him the No. 44 strong-side defensive end in 2019. Rivals also gives Hunt three stars and ranks him the No. 53 weak-side defensive end.

Hunt is Iowa's second defensive end recruit for 2019, joining three-star Wisconsin product Jake Karchinski.
