Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz celebrates with his team after a Hawkeye score against Northern Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City.

After opening its season with a resounding 33-7 win over Northern Illinois, Iowa picked up its second recruit for the class of 2020.

Michael Lois, a three-star defensive end from Wisconsin, announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes on Saturday via Twitter. He picked Iowa over, coincidentally, Northern Illinois.

Things had been heating up between Lois and Iowa lately, and it was all but assumed that he would commit to the Hawkeyes this weekend.

Lois checks in at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, and he also plays tight end for Elkhorn Area High in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Wisconsin had also shown interest, but it never pulled the trigger.

The 247Sports Composite gives Lois three stars. It ranks him the No. 474 overall prospect in 2020, and the No. 23 strong-side defensive end.

He joins Texas four-star quarterback Deuce Hogan as Iowa's current 2020 class.
