For his next trick, Brandon Scherff returns a punt

He's hang cleaned an otherworldly 443 pounds.

He's shown us his fishing prowess and his down-to-earth nature.

He's a dynamite NFL prospect, don't forget.

And now he's Brandon Scherff: punt returner.

Don't worry, Hawkeye fans – not on any sort of regular basis. But the senior offensive lineman was having a bit of fun at the end of a recent Iowa football practice, taking the last return at the end of a special-teams drill.

It's a scary prospect, though, to have that 6-foot-5, 320-pound frame barreling your way.

Look who he's running over, to boot – that's full-time freight train Mark Weisman, who, at a generally bruising 6 feet and 240 pounds, suddenly looks dwarfish.

We've said it before, but it bears repeating: Be glad that Scherff is on the Hawkeyes' side.

H/T to photographer Brian Ray for sharing the photos, above and below.

Iowa Hawkeyes offensive linesman Brandon Scherff (68) returns a punt during the team's 10th practice of fall camp on Monday. ... Would you dare get in the way?
