Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock returned to practice Wednesday, but his status for Saturday's game at Purdue remains unsettled.
"We'll see how it goes," Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz said on his weekly Learfield Sports radio show. "He's made a lot of progress. He's still not 100 percent. We'll just have to see where he's at at the end of the week."
Rudock suffered an injury to the hip area late in the first half at Pittsburgh last Saturday. C.J. Beathard came off the bench to rally the Hawkeyes to a 24-20 victory. Rudock was listed No. 1 on the depth chart Monday, but he couldn't practice Tuesday because of the injury.
