Brandon Scherff injures hamstring at the NFL Combine

Former Iowa offensive lineman Brandon Scherff injured his right hamstring Friday while taking part in the annual NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
NFL Network reporter Kimberly Jones said Scherff's day was over after he injured his hamstring in his first drill following the 40-yard dash.
Per Jones: "(Scherff) did say that he's disappointed, of course, to be finished with the drills saying, 'You always want to finish what you start,' but then he added, 'at least there's still my pro day,' which is at Iowa on March 23."
Scherff recorded an unofficial time of 5.07 seconds in his 40-yard dash.
The former Hawkeyes star and 2014 Outland Trophy winner is expected by many to be a top-10 draft pick. NFL Network's Mike Mayock believes Scherff will be the first offensive lineman off of the draft board. ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has Scherff going to the New York Giants with the ninth overall pick in both mock drafts that he has released in 2015.
