IOWA CITY, Ia. – The long-kept secret is finally out.

The Iowa football team's alternate "Blackout" uniforms were released on social media at 4:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon during its game-day "hit film" released by the @HawkeyeFootball Twitter account.

The original glimpse of the Hawkeye "Blackout" jersey pant leg revealed months ago.

As expected, the Hawkeyes will wear black tops and black pants,a departure from the traditional combination with gold pants. The normal black helmet with a Tiger hawk logo will be used, with "ANF" this time going on the back inside an outline of state of Iowa.

The Nike Pro Combat uniforms will have "IOWA" across the chest, also a change. It's probably just best for you to take a look at the video yourself.
