Look at this former Iowa receiver's freaky athleticism

You can have all your wild and crazy standing box jumps. I think this one from a former Iowa receiver trumps them all.

This is Derrick Willies, a wideout for Texas Tech who transferred to the Red Raiders after playing for Trinity Valley (Texas) community college last season. Willies caught four passes for 71 yards with a touchdown in his redshirt freshman season at Iowa in 2014. Willies, a Rock Island, Ill., product, left the Iowa program in late 2014 and transferred to Texas Tech in May 2015.

From the looks of this, he’s a pretty good athlete.

That’s a 60-inch leap, starting from a seated position, all while wearing a weight vest that adds 10 pounds.

Confirmed: That’s insane.

Iowa center Austin Blythe lifts receiver Derrick Willies, now at Texas Tech, after a touchdown reception against Ball State in 2014.
