North Dakota State trolls Michigan after Iowa upsets Wolverines

Nothing says sports schadenfreude like what North Dakota State just trolled Michigan fans with late Saturday night.

Moments after the Iowa football team stunned the previously unbeaten Wolverines 14-13 on a last-second field goal, the Bison's Twitter account took delight in reminding Jim Harbaugh's squad that it accomplished something the Maize and Blue could not.

Translation: Damn. Really, that's cold.

Granted, any laughter comes with a little post-mortem pain for Hawkeyes fans, too. For the tweet and the reaction to be true and hilarious, well ... you just have to forget about Sept. 17 for a while.

Fans storm the field after Iowa Hawkeyes place kicker Keith Duncan (not pictured) kicks the game winning field goal against the Michigan Wolverines at Kinnick Stadium. The Hawkeyes won 14-13.

But in what's turned out to be a non-College Football Playoff season for the Hawkeyes, anyway, at least there's a way to channel that frustration.

Hail to the Victors, indeed — in the FCS.
