Iowa senior C.J. Beathard is honored prior to the Hawkeyes' game against Nebraska at Kinnick Stadium on Friday, Nov. 25, 2016.

CJB is now a daddy.

The Iowa senior quarterback's longtime girlfriend Madelyn Chupka gave birth to a girl, Lyla, on Monday. Beathard took a photo of his daughter and posted to Instagram saying: "Got to welcome this beautiful baby girl into the world today! By far one of the greatest and proudest moments of my life. So grateful that God blessed us with this perfect little girl. Lyla is such a blessing! #prouddaddy"

Casey Beathard, C.J.'s father, told the Register in a text message that Lyla's birth was an "awesome day."

“Don’t think I’ve ever seen him (C.J.) that proud after yesterday," he wrote. "My eyes have been leakin’ for 2 days now. I’m so proud."

Beathard's brother, country music star Tucker Beathard, also posted to Instagram that he's now officially an uncle.

"I am officially an uncle. Congrats @ceejaybeat_hard and @madelyncc on your beautiful, healthy baby girl Lyla, God has blessed us all with."

Beathard and the Hawkeyes are getting set to play on Jan. 2 at the Outback Bowl in Tampa, Fla., going up against the Florida Gators.
