The Iowa men's golf season ended in the NCAA regional round Thursday with a 10th-place finish in a 16-team event in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Hawkeyes' three-day team total of 925 was 21 shots out of fifth place. The top five team scores and the best individual score on a non-advancing team advanced to the NCAA finals in Eugene, Ore.

Big Ten Conference fourth-place finisher Carson Schaake was Iowa's top individual at 8-over par at the University of New Mexico Championship Course. He finished in a share of 11th at the regional and was three shots adrift of the individual qualifying standard.

Iowa placed second as a team at the Big Ten Conference championships earlier this month.

Iowa State golfer Nick Voke had qualified for the NCAA regionals as an individual. He finished 12-over at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla., to place in a tie for 22nd.
