Preseason Big Ten men's basketball media poll released

Wisconsin is a unanimous pick to win the Big Ten men's basketball title, according to a poll of 27 reporters who cover the conference.
The Badgers received all 27 first-place votes in the poll released Wednesday. Iowa was selected to finish seventh. The Hawkeyes were picked to finish between fourth and 11th on the 27 ballots. Iowa was sixth last season with a 9-9 league mark.
Ohio State was picked to finish second to the Badgers, followed by Michigan State, Nebraska and Michigan.
Rick Brown of the Des Moines Register and Scott Dochterman of the Cedar Rapids Gazette represented Iowa in the media poll, which is organized and compiled by the Columbus Dispatch.
The Big Ten Conference holds its annual basketball media day Thursday in Chicago. The league releases only the top three teams in a separate media poll.
