Iowa volleyball tumbles at No. 20 Ohio State

The University of Iowa volleyball team fell to No. 20 Ohio State 25-20, 28-26, 25-19 Wednesday at St. John Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Iowa dropped to 13-15 overall and 5-12 in Big Ten play with the loss, while the Buckeyes improved to 19-10 and 10-7 in conference play.

Freshman Taylin Alm led Iowa with eight kills on Wednesday, while Jess Janota and Alex Lovell both had seven kills. TheHawkeyes hit .184 in the match.

Alyssa Klosterman and Kaylee Smith each had 15 assists for the Hawkeyes, while Michelle Fugarion had a team-high 11 digs.

Elizabeth Campbell led Ohio State with 12 kills, while Erin Sekinger added 10 kills for the Buckeyes.

Iowa will return to action on at 7 p.m. Saturday at Northwestern.
