The college wrestling season is nearing, and the Iowa wrestling program will unofficially start its season next week with its wrestle-offs.
The Hawkeyes will host wrestle-offs on Nov. 1-2 inside the Dan Gable Wrestling Complex at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Competition begins at 3:30 p.m. both days.
On Nov. 1, 19 matches are scheduled, followed by another nine on Nov. 2. None of the matchups have been revealed. Admission is free and open to the public.
Additionally, the Big Ten Network announced this week that the Iowa wrestling team will make five live appearances on the network for the 2018-19 season.
Home duals against Purdue (Nov. 24) and Rutgers (Jan. 18) and road duals at Minnesota (Jan. 13) and Illinois (Jan. 25) will all air live on BTN. The finals of the Big Ten Conference Championships, set for March 10, will also be televised on BTN.
Iowa also announced a time change for two duals. The Hawkeyes' home dual against Purdue and road contest against Minnesota are now scheduled for noon. Both were originally scheduled for 1 p.m.
