Iowa's Bohannon misses free throw in tribute to Chris Street

It was a rough week for college basketball and it's been a long season for Iowa. But what Jordan Bohannon did - as he scored 25 points, including seven 3-pointers, to lead the Hawkeyes to a 77-70 win Sunday night against Northwestern - for the parents of Chris Street - a former Iowa star who died in a 1993 automobile accident during his junior year at the school - was just pure class.
Bohannon stepped to the free-throw line late in the game with a chance to break the school record - held by Street - for consecutive free throws of 34. He pointed upward and intentionally missed the free throw - with Street's parents in attendance.
"That's not my record to have. That record deserves to stay in his name," Bohannon said. "It's been on my mind for a while. ... Life is a lot bigger than basketball."
Bohannon's Tweet after the game included a Tweet from @IowaHoops of Bohannon sharing a moment with Street's parents.
Bohannon also Retweeted an @IowaHoops tribute to Street last month:
