Conor McGregor to appear on ‘Game of Thrones’
WARNING: As always, spoilers ahead!
The rumors are true, at least according to UFC president Dana White: Conor McGregor will indeed appear on Game of Thrones.
He said it in a Fox Sports Live interview, around the 4:30 mark:
"I knew that a few months ago that they were interested in putting him in the show. I'm glad he did it. It'll be great."
Now, the speculation has begun - just who would he play? I automatically put my money on McGregor playing a member of the Dothraki - just add a braided wig and boom! McGregor can walk around shirtless as he does in his profession, and maybe he can use some of those MMA skills while battling in Westeros (it's worth noting he's already taken on The Mountain).
But that may not be the case. GoT community site Watchers on the Wall had this report:
A WotW source tells us that Conor McGregor will be playing a pirate belonging to Euron Greyjoy's crew, on the ship Silence. The part is a fairly small one, a cameo, so fans who are worried about his acting ability, don't sweat it. There is no speaking involved with this part, and it's definitely a short-term gig.
Guess we'll see if McGregor appears, and maybe after his next win, he'll clue us in by shouting, "What is dead may never die!"
