Daniel Cormier made history Saturday night with his victory over Derrick Lewis at UFC 230 as he became the first fighter to have ever defended both the light heavyweight and heavyweight titles.
After the fight, however, we learned the UFC champ-champ can be just like us average folks when it comes to making a mistake with your phone.
See, he explained how he didn't know about the whole "read receipts" on your phone which, when left on, shows the person who sent you a text that you had seen the text.
And, well, it can lead to awkward moments:
Initially I didn't take that seen thing off my phone so they would look at when I saw their messages. Thank God for Danny Rubenstein, he told me how to take it off. They would see seen and be like, 'I know you saw it.' And I was like, 'No I didn't.' But they were like, 'Dude, screengrab. You saw my text.' And I was like dead silent.
But If there is a text from Brock I'll probably respond to him and tell him I'm going to kick your ass.
Take a lesson here from D.C. and check your phone right now to make sure your read receipts are off.
Because life is all about avoiding people but not letting them now that you are avoiding them.
