The Oskaloosa star could be the best-ever to play basketball in Iowa.
The offseason is quickly heating up for Oskaloosa five-star power forward Xavier Foster — and we're not even at April's first evaluation period yet.
Foster will take an unofficial visit to Baylor on April 20, his AAU program director, BG Regins, told the Register on Thursday.
Regins also said Kansas reached out to let him know they'd watch Foster play in Dallas on April 20-22 as his Pure Prep Academy team begins the spring evaluation periods. Ohio State, Oklahoma State, TCU, SMU, Wisconsin and Xavier also notified Regins they'd be in Dallas, as did Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton, Missouri, Illinois and Texas A&M, who have all offered Foster.
Foster earned All-Iowa honorable mention this year, averaging 12.7 points, eight rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game for the Class 3A runner-up Indians. He was the only sophomore recognized in the Register's 40-player All-Iowa team.
Rivals gives Foster five stars and ranks him the No. 19 prospect in 2020. The 247Sports Composite gives him four stars and ranks him the class' No. 33 prospect.
Oskaloosa sophomore Xavier Foster has become one of the nation’s most sought-after basketball prospects. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound forward is considered a consensus top-25 recruit in the 2020 class. Rodney White/The Register
