Introducing the Des Moines Register's 2022 All-Iowa girls wrestling teams
The Des Moines Register is pleased to announce the 2022 All-Iowa girls wrestling teams, honoring the best of the best wrestlers from the 2021-22 season.
This year's teams features 24 Elite Team picks, which means a few weights will have multiple selections. Wrestlers from 22 different schools were represented, spanning all four grade levels. We also listed 12 additional honorable mention choices.
All wrestlers listed here are invited to the Des Moines Register's All-Iowa Sports Awards, which is returning to a live, in-person program honoring the top student-athletes around Iowa. The event’s time and date are still to be determined and will be announced soon.
Selections were made based on in-season results, Register staff observations and consultations with high school, college and recruiting contacts. Multiple wrestlers at the same weight are listed alphabetically by last name. Records are from Trackwrestling.
