With several major showdowns last weekend, the College Football Playoff picture was going to change significantly, and that's exactly what happened in the latest USA TODAY Sports bowl projections.

Clemson and Washington both moved into the field, while Louisville and Stanford fell out after their respective defeats to the Tigers and Huskies.

The Cardinals still have hope with a road game against Houston left to possibly bolster their case as a one-loss team. The Cardinal face a more difficult recovery with Colorado as the lone opponent left that is currently in the Top 25.

Reminder: Notre Dame is part of the ACC bowl pool. Some conferences may not fulfill their bowl allotment. Asterisks denote a replacement pick.
