Mike Kafka's odds to become the next coach of the Arizona Cardinals are on the rise.

We finally have some new odds for who could become the next coach of the Arizona Cardinals after the team missed out on hiring Sean Payton.

The previous favorite has strengthened his hold on the No. 1 spot in the odds to replace Kliff Kingsbury.

Brian Flores, the current defensive assistant for the Pittsburgh Steelers and former head coach of the Miami Dolphins is at -150 in OddsChecker's latest odds to be the next coach of the Cardinals.

He is given a 60% implied probability to be hired by Arizona's NFL franchise.

Previous odds:Arizona Cardinals' coach odds favor Brian Flores, Sean Payton to replace Kliff Kingsbury

Flores is followed by Vance Joseph, the defensive coordinator in Arizona under Kingsbury, at +275 (26.7%).

The third candidate in the odds is New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka, who has made a huge rise in the odds. Kafka is now listed at +500 (16.7%) after being +2000 in the site's odds for the coaching position last week.

Only two other candidates are listed in OddsChecker's odds: Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon is at +1000 (9.1%) in the odds and Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen is at +1600 (5.9%).

"The books believe without a doubt that Brian Flores will be the next Cardinals head coach," OddsChecker's Kyle Newman said. "However, even though his odds are third longest it’s very much worth watching Mike Kafka. His odds moved so strongly that it’s impossible to ignore the momentum that he’s gathering. It’s also worth noting Kafka played for the Patriots in 2013 when Monti Ossenfort was with the team, so they do have a connection."

When are the Cardinals going to hire a new coach and who is it going to be?
