Well, that's one way to end a disappointing season.

The Detroit Lions pummeled the hapless Green Bay Packers, 31-0, on Sunday at Lambeau Field, putting the final stamp on a roller-coaster first year for head coach Matt Patricia.

Patricia's Lions swept the Packers and beat the New England Patriots this season, but losses to NFL also-rans like the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills kept the Lions from making a serious push toward the playoffs.

And now with Sunday's victory, the Lions' first shutout since 1996, the Lions (6-10) won't even pick in the top 5 of the 2019 NFL draft. Talk about cutting off the nose to spite the face.
