Fans reach for Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota (8) after the team's 26-22 win over the Jets on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.

The Titans overcame a 16-0 deficit and scored the final 13 points of the game, including the game-winning touchdown with 36 seconds left, to beat the New York Jets 26-22 on Sunday at Nissan Stadium. This is everything you need to know ... reading time 60 seconds:

What it means for Titans

The playoff outlook looks a tad brighter. With a  6-6 record and four games remaining, the Titans are three games behind the Texans (9-3) in the AFC South, so the chances of winning the division are unrealistic.

However, the Titans remain in the chase for the second AFC South wild card. And the Titans are chasing the Ravens (7-5) for the second wild card in the AFC. However, the Dolphins (6-6), Broncos (6-6) and Colts (6-6) also remain ahead of them, based on tiebreakers.

What it means for Jets

Not much. A 3-9 record leaves them six games behind New England in the AFC East. A win would have provided an emotional boost, but not much else.

Hero of the game

Marcus Mariota led the Titans on the game-winning drive in the final two minutes. His 25-yard run was a big key in the winning drive. He won the game and preserved the Titans' playoff chances with the 11-yard scoring pass to Corey Davis with 36 seconds left.
